Data Table for two labs including weights and angles

Calculate Newtons using Newtons = mass(gravity)
FA = .5139 X 9.8 m/s^2 = 5.036 N

Calculate components. Use Calculations from above then  do Newtons(sin angle) then Newtons(cos angle)

Ax = 5.036 X Cos(0) = 5.036                     Ay = 5.036 X Sin(0) = 0

 The fourth value will be your experimental. Do not use that for the next part.

Dx = 2.096 X Cos(-156) = -1.914                Dy = 2.096 X Sin(-156) = -0.8525

Add together the NEWTONS( cos or sin?)  only of the first three measurements Ax + Bx + Cx + Dx = 0. Replace Dx with Zx. Ax + Bx + Cx + Zx = 0. Use Newtons for Ax, Bx, and Cx, then calculate for Zx for the hypothetical

5.036 + -0.8526 + -2.091  + Zx = 0           0 + 0.7154 + 0.1462 + Zy = 0
          Zx = -2.092                                    Zy = -0.8616

 Use these values to calculate ZD

Zx^2 + Zy^2 = ZD^2

Then do Inverse tangent (Zy/Zx)

Inverse tangent (-.8616/-2.092) = 22.38922

Introduction to the Challenge

Alright AP Physics class of 2012-2013 in Mr. Rodriguez's class, it is time to LEARN. I myself am struggling to understand some of the concepts fully, and I know that others are, so if we can come together to become more than individuals, to become one giant pool of physics knowledge we can overcome the class and the AP Exam. Feel free to post to this blog whenever you need help, and the best help possible will come to you directly from other students. May the forces be with you.
